Special Processes

Special Processes" are processes used during the processing of metal materials that use different methods than standard processes. These processes are used to increase or improve certain properties of metal materials. Special processes may include:

1- Nitriding: Nitriding is a process used to increase the hardness of metal materials. This process consists of exposing metal materials with nitrogen gas at certain temperatures.

2- Hardfacing: Hardfacing is a process used to add a more durable layer to the surface of metal materials. This process is used to add a protective layer to the surface of metal materials against damage such as abrasion, scratching and corrosion.

3- Carbonitriding: Carbonitriding is a process used to increase the hardness of metal materials. This process consists of exposing metal materials with nitrogen and carbon gas at specific temperatures.

4- Ion Nitriding: Ion nitriding is a process used to increase the hardness of metal materials. This process consists of exposing metal materials with nitrogen ions at certain temperatures.

These special processes are used to increase or improve certain properties of metal materials and are used to obtain more effective and efficient results during the processing of metal materials.
